Description:
Scheuerle wrote on the back, 'Mrs. Vivian Gawanusea is a good friend - and is writing very interesting letters. I send her 'Sunday Comics' which she tells me the family enjoy - After a bad winter, and an epidemic of Flu she writes: - "all the old people die, but now they're all well' I suppose she means the ones that did not die - Here we have her 'maiden name' 'Te Wangienema' - which means 'Sand' also her Christian name of "Vivian" attached to her marriage name 'Gawanusea'".
