Description:
As descrived by Verna Dukes, an overnight fishing trip inspired this painting: "Everyone was preparing his bed for the night when Redie and Verna decided they would look for a softer one of pine needles and moss a bit deeper in the woods. They had decided upon the ideal spot when a big brown bear questioned their decision and ambled toward them - they acted as one, leaving their chosen bed space to the intruder. A bed on the rocks beside the river became a bed of roses...Clarke painted this picture for Verna M. Dukes of the the bedfellow she might have had."
