Description:
Many hunters living in and inspired by Montana's wild landscapes helped establish conservation organizations and supported wildlife restoration legislation. The Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act of 1937 (also known as the Pittman-Robertson Act) taxed firearm and ammunition purchases. This revenue, combined with license sales, funds the majority of wildlife management today.
