This drawing is a profile of a woman with flowers. All visual elements are described through contour lines of charcoal and chalk with repeat applications so that one form may have five lines placing it in relation to the rest of the drawing, giving it a sense of urgency or subtle movement. The figure's torso is a darker mass of charcoal with definition of some elements accomplished through erasure and reduction of the surface and others through use of white chalk. She is wearing a small hat and her hair is distinguishable. The flowers that she either holds or is surrounded by are achieved through a series of open circles and heart shapes, so that they might be tulips.
