Scheuerle wrote, "Eagle Head" - Arapaho - One of the last of the old men, they told me Eagle Head was a famous fighter in his day - His body, he showed me, was covered with old scars from fighting, together with the sun dance scars, showing the cuts on the breast - He was a poor model, went to sleep on me and had to cough to keep him awake - Painted in Corral Camp - Fort Washaki's Agency, Wind River Res, Wyo - 1917...The End of The Sun Dance - he has proved he can take it - and now adopted into the Warrior class."
