"Mrs. M E Churchill Dear Minna I am at your mothers and helpt to quilt your qyilt I would like to see you so mutch come down and see us and make a visit good by write us if you please S W Brown"

This quilt was a gift for Mary "Minnie" Shelton Ransdell Churchill from her mother, likely on the occasion of her wedding to D. H. Churchill. Handwritten notes attached indicate several family members and friends assited in the quilting. Minnie brought her beloved quilt to her Sun River home in 1876.
