To support the war, women, men, and children conserved food, cultivated vegetable gardens at home, knitted socks and garments for soldiers, collected items for care packages, and rolled bandages to be used overseas.

Volunteers across Montana and the country made items to send to soldiers, which they bundled up in small bags such as this one.
