A collection of long, undulating, multicolored brushstrokes converge to form a loose description of two or three horses set in a landscape. The background is a pale blue grey with areas of the ground showing through. The horses are set on a piece of earth that is depicted with a few sparse brushstrokes of brown and green. The predominate colors are oranges and yellows and thin black lines that form the contour of the bodies of the horses along with muddy lines of mixed color. The whole surface of the painting is energized with these writhing lines, including the space around the figures; even the sky swirls and twists.
