Description:
Milton Resnick was an American artist noted for abstract paintings that coupled scale with density of incident. It was not uncommon for some of the largest paintings to weigh in excess of three hundred pounds, almost all of it pigment.

This painting is a mess of ashen grey paint thick with impasto floating odd shapes and slight hints of color. The shapes tend to be roundly amorphous, outlined in a dark grey and filled with bits of color, pinks and pale yellow. The majority of the space is filled with a variegated grey, with a golden yellow mixed in at one place, a red in another and a highlight centering around one object to the lower left that eminates a white glow.
