Description:
Margaret Howell lived with her husband, Horatio S. and their children, Imogene (Mary) and Horatio Reed in a comfortable appointed home at 417 West Harrison, Helena. She made this fine crazy quilt with scraps of velvet, satin, and silk interspersed with GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) and political campaign ribbons, all embroidered together. Margaret finished the quilt with a finely crocheted border.
